Wildlife Group Review of 2025

Wildlife Group 2025 review

During 2025 we had a varied programme of walks, 3 of which were led by guest leaders, Susanne Knapp, Chris Wedge and Tony Gill to whom we are most grateful.

Numbers have been regularly in the mid-teens with the notable exception of December when a forecast for heavy rain (which materialised) and another group’s Christmas lunch led to an all time low of attendance of just 4 hardy souls!

We visited various nature reserves, country parks and villages and saw an interesting selection of plants, birds and insects.  A new reserve in the country (Clophill Lakes, which is owned by The Greensand Trust) proved a fascinating addition to local sites of interest.

We look at whatever we find and learn about wildlife as we walk.

You will be very welcome to join us in 2026 when we will again be visiting a variety of sites (avoiding travelling via the Black Cat roundabout!)
