Groups and How to Join

Bedford u3a has around 60 activity and interest groups ranging from the educational (e.g. Local History), through to literature (e.g. Poetry), practical (e.g. Craft), social (eg. Friendship) and physical (e.g. Walking) and lots in between. Members share their knowledge and experiences, but above all have fun.

Our groups are listed alphabetically below. You can also choose to sort them by day of the week, interest category or venue by using the blue buttons below. If you click on the group name you will find more information about it.

If a group is full please contact Sally Petre, Groups Coordinator to be put on a waiting list. Once there is sufficient interest another group can be set up.

If you are interested in joining a group you should contact the group leader. You can email the group leader of a particular group by clicking on the blue highlighted name which you will see on the individual group page or by telephoning the number shown in the Bulletin newsletter, which is given to Bedford u3a members.

You may attend any active, not full, group once as a visitor, with the agreement of the individual group coordinator, but to continue you have to become a member of Bedford u3a.

The groups are a great way to meet new people who share a similar interest.
