You may attend any active group once as a visitor, if you contact the group coordinator first, but to continue you have to become a member of Bedford u3a.

In this book group we generally choose books that have been described as classics, or by authors who have won awards. We like to keep abreast of contemporary literature but try not to select new publications in order to keep costs to a minimum.

We also read poetry at the sessions. Each member brings a poem of their choice which we read at the beginning of the session.

We read the books over time, discussing as we go at each session. We also read the book aloud during sessions if time permits.
