You may attend any active group once as a visitor, if you contact the group coordinator first, but to continue you have to become a member of Bedford u3a.

The Play Reading group meets every Monday morning in term time at St Marks, in the Wren Room. We start at 10am until 12 noon.

The group which has been going now over 12 years, and most members say it is a lovely ‘calm’ way to start the week.

We read anything and everything from pantomime to Shakespeare and over the year we get through about 30 books, so as you can see there is great variety. It is not a serious morning by any means and if it is possible, we try and acquire a DVD occasionally of any play we have read. We do not act!
